The lunch in the Danish bakery café was delightful today. they have a series of vegan options, including a cake, pasty, burger, sandwiches, vegan breakfast and... read more The lunch in the Danish bakery café was delightful today. they have a series of vegan options, including a cake, pasty, burger, sandwiches, vegan breakfast and the whole day vegan pleasure plate. we ate here a few times. eating and soy flat whites are always good. they now have vegan lucky balls and raw slices/knives. Today we had the vegan pleasure plate with pumpkin hummus (with a small spicy kick), mushrooms, quinoa salat and toast. it was delicious, so was the Beeren blissball with our coffee. this caffe is a beautiful little hidden gem in Denmark, on a beautiful day they can sit outside under the huge fig tree. excellent service, friendly staff.

The cafe attached to the bakery also had a porridge with a vegan option. I had the pastie and the pastry was quite good but the filling was bland and tasteless with undercooked chunks of carrot.

The pastie was lovely, not greasy, light and flaky pastry. Friendly service. Will have to go back and try the pie. Couldn't give it 5 stars as they also serve meat. update Went back to get a pie and pastie 4 years on but sadly the pastie wasn't as good as we remembered. Both the pastie and the pie seemed to be full of mash potato with veg rather than a sauce so they were a bit dry and bland this time. Updated from previous review on 2019-03-29
