Advertised as opening til 10pm but when we arrived on Tuesday at 8.45pm they had stopped serving food. We said we would try again Wednesday which we did, and arrived at 7.30 only to find it was booked out for a function! Not wanting to turn us away a second time, they were very apologetic and kindly fitted us in but then after we ordered, told us it would be a half hour plus wait. We ordered the marron, prawns and oysters with gourmet salad and the lamb and dam. Oysters were excellent, very fresh. Prawns and marron cooked well, but lacked any seasoning and were cooked plain. Nothing gourmet about the salad which appeared to be salad out of a bag and some remnants of quinoa which I only realised was there when I had finished and was wondering what the little blobs on the plate were. Lamb was very overcooked. $44+ per dish was over priced given the lack of attention to detail. Wine was superb, especially the Estate Riesling. Service was friendly but amateur. The wait staff were too busy tucking in to a cheesecake to serve us. Expected a lot more from a fine dining restaurant.

On the positive side, the restaurant offers a lovely atmosphere, and both the dining area and restrooms are well-maintained. The menu features various choices, and the speed of food service is decent. However, the drawbacks include excessively oily food, poor staff service, and lack of attention to maintenance. The quality of the dishes is subpar, and I was particularly let down by the daily special, which was just a typical fish and chips. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant to friends unless there are no other options available, or they want to take their chances.
