I would especially recommend Block House for breakfast! The cinnamon roll pancake is ridiculous (best thing to share? literally the size of a plate), the eggs Benedict are delicious, cookies and Gravy, Speck, I could go on for some time. Great atmosphere and also clean. Service was always very friendly! I wish they had more employees than a few times when I came in, they only had one or two servers for the entire (packed) restaurant, which can lead to a longer than necessary waiting and forgotten food/drink requests. No matter, it's a great place to stop before you go to the coast or on a hike!
That's the best brunch spot I've ever been. Big blood Mary (delicious crispy plastered bacon, the crispy/colmost mouth water piece celery you have ever tasted), cookies that do not need anything, except for the fact that they have the best land gravity on earth to get them in, or a delicious jam if you wish. No, get the cookies and Gravy. Stir eggs that have fallen from the sky, pepper bacon again. A kind of cinnamon pancake to die. The Scramble is barely lockable (loaded with engraving). I forget so many things. Worlds best brunch! Beth is the sweetest server I've ever met. Even serve coffee while waiting. If you wait, it's worth more than that. Better than every hour, Brunch Spot is waiting in Portland. They also serve for lunch, but I'll never pass the cookies...
Small and secret. The food is great and the servers are very friendly. It felt like the staff was something new, but they still took care of the service. Would go back. Try the raspberry French toast or the cinnamon roll pancake soooo well! Oh, and the strawberry limonade was perfect!
As always, Block House never fails! Always great food, great staff and a wonderful atmosphere. The cinnamon roll pancakes are a must have, and the chicken fried steak is another great go-to item. Keep up the amazing work guys! We will be back soon! :
