in the last 7 weeks we visited 3 Sunday dinners, which shows how much we love it! the front of the house staff is absolutely wonderful; helpful, professional and friendly especially when they visit with my disabled vater before 2 weeks. the food is spectacular, every element, every time. the quality of the meat (we love the bark and the lamb! is exceptional and the food is delicious. the ambiente and the relaxing atm... Small party (5 of us went for our Christmas lunch. Starter was very small. I had the ham hock terrine which should have had Christmas chutney(? but came with piccalilli. It was nice but 2 small pieces of pitta bread seemed a bit mean. Mains came out and the plates were very cold. The food was tepid and the gravy was also very cold. Bazing eating and great pub! Bar service was impeccable on Mother's Day! luke and the team are no longer there.
This pub is so welcoming that the lad behind the bar was so friendly and helpful. great burger and beer. we come back and you should try it too!
