Natalie was superb in changing orders from sit-in to to-go, providing a table and free snacks to two travellers in a hurry. On top of that, they serve one of the tastiest liver pâté I have ever tried. Hand on heart.

Visited this evening alway loved the Pytchley, haven't been for a few years we hadn't booked but got a table in the bar, I had salmon husband had fish chips, bo... read more Visited this evening alway loved the Pytchley, haven't been for a few years we hadn't booked but got a table in the bar, I had salmon husband had fish chips, both meals were lovely, but we wasn't asked it our food was ok, and our plates wasn't cleared so wasn't asked if we wanted a dessert, had to go to the bar to ask for our bill, staff seemed to be standing around and paracetamol was on the bar so maybe someone had a headache

Opted to get a starter before ordering mains due to some reservations about the food. Glad we did. The Camembert starter was shocking, salad looked about 3 weeks old, dry and leaves were tired and almost looked as if they’d been half eaten by slugs, with holes in. Safe to say we didn’t get as far as the mains. Such a shame as used to love coming to the pytchley for a good old fashioned meal. But something needs to change. Until then you’ll find us elsewhere.

They were also kind enough to allow us to have... read more I popped into the Pytchley for a Sunday evening impromptu dinner with my 17 year old daughter and her boyfriend. They were also kind enough to allow us to have a Pytchley fillet steak double and box one up for my father who has Parkinson’s and couldn’t get in today due to his mobility which really did make everyone’s day. The atmosphere in the bar is just to my taste warm and friendly with enough background music so there feels like a nice vibe. We had the steaks 6oz fillets an 8oz and the roast pork Sunday lunch all exceptionally cooked. The peppercorn sauce is that good you could eat it in everything. I literally licked the plate clean and didn’t even feel guilty about! The staff were very kind and thoughtful and I would like to thank Rachel, Joel and managers Nat Phoenix for looking after us and also going above and beyond and sorting the take away for my father. We LOVE THE PYTCHLEY 100% recommend for any occasion.

We then w... read more 1 star is extremely generous. If I could give 0 I would. We waited over an hour for our food to be told the order hadn’t been placed with the kitchen. We then waited over 20 minutes for our drinks order. We were given little apology and not even checked on. We had to go up and ask for some drinks ourselves. After a very lengthy wait we then ended up leaving without eating. The staff said “thanks for coming” not even aware that we were waiting and had not been fed. Manager wasn’t even aware of us. Appalling. Will not be returning.

Helpful and friendly staff there was a lot to choose on the menu there were 14 of us so that we started to eat with lots of placats and very tasty my favorites... read more Helpful and friendly staff there was a lot to choose on the menu there were 14 of us so that we started to eat with lots of placats and very tasty my favorites were the sausages that pate and garnel the most important meal times for the whole party of 14 were served hot and immediately so everyone could eat together. filet steak and pfeffersoße was delicious and delicate some of us had steaks, some had the specialties and the whole food was delicious the overnight was very pleasant. beautiful rooms, well equipped, I had a comfortable double bed and a spacious shower. the room and the bathroom are immaculate everywhere. quiet and peaceful, so I could sleep a great night! great breakfast again and very tasty very cheap and good value the restaurant and the bar view to be popular with locals who is always a good sign! there are even some rooms with just a few steps up for easier access many parking we will return to any case, highly recommended

We were recom... read more Highly recommend this little gem. They quickly took us in when we had an issue with booking.com double booking us at a local cottage with our dog. We were recommended to stay here by the cottage owner, and she certainly put us in a wonderful place. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The room we stayed in was really clean, modern and had everything we needed, they also came to make the room up, gave us fresh towels and fresh water etc. We also enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant, again the staff couldn't do enough for us. They also made our little dog feel very welcome On the Sunday of our stay, we decided to have lunch in their garden (which is enclosed, which again was good for our dog as she wasn't near the road). The Sunday lunch is recommended! As we travel to Naseby every year for a dog show, we will definitely be returning and recommending to our friends.

We could not believe what we saw ! They couldn't make a new meal as the chefs had left for the evening, the only option was to have a clean plate and have the meal deducted from the bill. I feel that the staff need more traning, the waiter was only a young chap and I really felt for him.

After having to ask for menus, 20 minutes later we were told our order didn’t go through and food we ordered was now unavailable. After an additional 40 minutes we were still sat hungry, at least 4 tables who came in after us had their food and finished. We had to call someone over to order more drinks which 15 minutes later didn’t arrive. By this time we were fed up so walked out with a hungry 1 year old and a very upset birthday girl! As we walked out the manager thanked us!! after watching us sat there for an hour! Poor management and customer service, we will not be returning.

The roo... read more We stayed overnight on our way from Scotland to Dover. West Haddon is near to the M1 but the village is quiet and the Hotel situated on the Main Street. The room was comfortable and the restaurant food was very good. Staff were all very friendly and efficient and breakfast was very nice.

She mentioned that she has Celiac disease and assured me that the chips were cooked separately. She recommended the 100% gluten-free burger on a gluten-free roll, and I also ordered the Cajun chicken and chocolate cherry dessert with gluten-free ice cream based on her suggestions. Her extensive knowledge was exactly what I needed, and the experience was undoubtedly 5 stars.

She also stressed that she was Celiac and made a point to tell me what she ate and that the chips were in a separate pan, the burger was 100% gluten-free as the role. Their knowledge bar was exactly what I needed and on their recommendation I ordered the Cjan chicken and dessert the chocolate cherry with gluten-free ice. No doubt a 5* experience.
