My husband found blue hand paper under his meat, he put it to the side of his plate, we complained, the waiter then put his finger on the plate and wiped the to... read more My husband found blue hand paper under his meat, he put it to the side of his plate, we complained, the waiter then put his finger on the plate and wiped the towel away. We could not believe what we saw ! They couldn't make a new meal as the chefs had left for the evening, the only option was to have a clean plate and have the meal deducted from the bill. I feel that the staff need more traning, the waiter was only a young chap and I really felt for him.

After having to ask for menus, 20 minutes later we were told our order didn’t go through and food we ordered was now unavailable. After an additional 40 minutes we were still sat hungry, at least 4 tables who came in after us had their food and finished. We had to call someone over to order more drinks which 15 minutes later didn’t arrive. By this time we were fed up so walked out with a hungry 1 year old and a very upset birthday girl! As we walked out the manager thanked us!! after watching us sat there for an hour! Poor management and customer service, we will not be returning.

The roo... read more We stayed overnight on our way from Scotland to Dover. West Haddon is near to the M1 but the village is quiet and the Hotel situated on the Main Street. The room was comfortable and the restaurant food was very good. Staff were all very friendly and efficient and breakfast was very nice.

They went above and beyo... read more After a mix up with our restaurant booking the management and front of house team couldn't have been more apologetic and accommodating. They went above and beyond to rectify the error and we had an amazing Sunday lunch with family and friends. It was a really busy service that day too and yet our hosts smiled throughout and made our visit very special. If only everyone had such a high level of exemplary service. Thank you. Service: 5
