Description

At the Stobart truckstop, traditional truckstop dining gets a contemporary twist, but experiences can vary widely. While some diners appreciate the clean facilities, family-friendly atmosphere, and affordable menus featuring hearty breakfast options, others have encountered disappointing food quality and service inefficiencies. Complaints highlight a lack of menu variety, untrained staff, and poor food preparation, with notable issues like tough steak pies and undercooked chips. Despite its prime location near the M1 and amenities like showers and a shop, patrons express frustration over inconsistencies, leaving many uncertain about returning to this unique roadside eatery.

Lovely bright and airy café with plenty of choice on the menu. Staff friendly and restaurant clean. After eating you can sit outside in the car or stand at barriers and watch for Stobart lorries arriving and leaving. Plenty of activity going on. Will be visiting here again with my son to do more spotting.

We have visited this cafe multiple times. The food is always served hot, which is a plus. The service is excellent and the staff are very helpful. We brought my son, who has severe learning disabilities, and they made it a smooth experience by bringing his food quickly. He struggles with waiting, so this was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this cafe.

Have stopped here for a drink on a few occasions but decided to have lunch on this visit. My partner had half chicken with salad. The salad filled half the large plate and there was coleslaw too. I opted for the southern fried chicken, which was two sizeable coated chicken breasts, and I chose beans and fries to go with the chicken. The portion size was very big. Both meals tasted great and we polished off the lot. Washed down with two unlimited teas, the total price was less than £15. Great value and we're already planning when we can go back for another meal. Oh, and the staff were really great too!

Traveling up A5 decided to stop for lunch. Restaurant and toilets clean unlike a lot of motorway services. Food fairly basic but not dissimilar to motorway services other than portion sizes much larger and about 30% cheaper. Would certainly use again
