The staff didn't even ask me if I was okay with the substitute dish. To make matters worse, I was still charged for it even after I pointed out that this practice was unacceptable. The restaurant needs to improve their customer service.

Unfortunately, I couldn't because of your outdated policy of requiring a mini... read more I really wanted to try a cup of your coffee, and I probably would have enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I couldn't because of your outdated policy of requiring a minimum £5 spend for card/contactless payments. I only wanted a coffee, not a coffee and cake. Even Poundland accepts payments under £5 now. We are moving towards a cashless society, and I didn't have any cash on me, just Apple pay. Please update your policy to keep up with the times so that I can try your coffee in the future. We both missed out today.

Good selection of cakes and the food menu looked good. Only a small place, but on a sunny day, they open the doors and let the outside in. They also have a small patio overlooking the horses training. If you’re into horses then you’ll love this place. If you don’t, you’ll still enjoy the visit. Very friendly staff. Both chatty and helpful.

(Don’t worry, we made sure we weren’t table blo... read more I went to Cafemonde today (Good Friday to have lunch and a catch up with a friend. It turned into a 3 hour stay! (Don’t worry, we made sure we weren’t table blocking! . After delicious paninis and salad, we were there so long we had a cream tea too! Really yummy. The staff can’t do enough for you and are so friendly. It’s lovely because it’s quite small and cosy, with a very relaxed atmosphere. We sat in the window and watched the horses out in the rain. Thank you and we’ll very definitely be back for another catch up soon!
