Steam Up - Darwin

As I was passing by, I decided to give this restaurant a try since it was New Year's. I ordered wonton soup, har gow (prawn dumplings), and shiu mai. The key to a good bowl of this food is the broth, but unfortunately, it was bland and the whole experience was disappointing. The noodles were low quality, the wonton meat was disappointing, and the shiu mai was mediocre with the har gow being undercooked. I would recommend avoiding this place. Those who think this restaurant is good should try authentic Chinese food. I give it zero stars.

I wasn't expecting much from this restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious dumplings. While you can find better dumplings in other cities, this is a great option if you're in Darwin. The chili sauce was also quite tasty.

This restaurant is perfect for a weekday lunch! The vegetable dumplings with chili soy are delicious and affordable. The miso soup is also a great addition to the meal.

Absolutely love the dumpling here, the ladies are so friendly and the food is always fantastic! Will be back, again

I’ve really started coming here a lot... I love Japanese Gyoza, and these steamed them pan fried dumplings are a bit like that! Good flavour and I love them with their chilli sauce too!! Yuuuuum.. I’ll be back often!!!
