Always drop in here when in Darwin. It is a nice spot to have a cold drink and the meals are good as well. It is one of the better places on Mitchell it is consistent with the quality of food and the staff are pleasant. Have been visiting the Tap every trip to Darwin and it has not disappointed me once. Will be back for a cold drink in a few months' time. View all feedback.

With such an abundance of Barramundi in the region you would think that these guys would make a good battered fish and chips. Instead both the fish and chips were over cooked, the batter was heavy, came apart from the fish when broken, lacked flavour and the portions were small.When informed of my dissatisfaction they couldn't see a problem. Just wandered up to the Lost Arc for another cocktail and they have jugs for $25 so Gez n me going wild.
Big portion sizes. Nothing too OTT but nice. Beer selection okay. Need more veg options on the menu.

The Tap a great venue a must for every visitor to Darwin. Set on Mitchell Street this open air bar is undercover with a huge tree growing through the roof in the middle. The fishbowl cocktails are sensational and a good price. Fantastic place to relax and watch as everyday Darwin passes by. Live music and great food makes this a fun place. The staff were happy and friendly we loved it and recommend Returned for brunch Monday and another day for another of the fishbowl cocktails all delicious
This place was nice, huge! Outdoor dining. Bar service was nice a friendly. I had the prawn small plate. I was after fresh prawns but they were fried.. still not bad
