The service was awful, we were ignor... read more I really dont like to leave bad reviews but this place was baaaaad. We went from a recommendation for my partners birthday. The service was awful, we were ignored most of the night, they forgot part of our order, everyone seemed miserable and i was made to feel like i had done something wrong when i requested items that never came to be removed off the bill. The food seemed to vary some was nice and other items were below average. It was a reasonable price but sometimes that showed. The chicken burger looked like something i would have made when i was 14 2 slices of bread and a frozen burger. Maybe just a bad night and a different in opinion on good food and service.

Well it was certainly good value and good quali... read more To be honest I discovered this by accident one Monday night and decided to try their Monday $10 steak et frites. Well it was certainly good value and good quality steak cut into side slices after cooking. Way too many frites for a sensible person so subsequently switched to half salad, half frites. Went there a few times after cinematheque at Chauvel. Went there again recently and steak had upped to $12.50 Mondays and they just do it in the piece (I liked the sideways cut meself) and steak still good. They do different specials on other nights, like schnitzel night but have never tried those. A long narrow bar and high tables at Victoria St side and it is a long narrow place (they got the Passage bit right!)
