Description

A beloved small-town diner serving hearty Southern comfort—standout biscuits and gravy, club sandwich, fried pies and classic plates like country fried steak. Reviewers praise warm, family-friendly service, accessible single-level seating, ample parking and pocket-friendly prices. While many celebrate consistent breakfasts and attentive staff, a few report slow service, order errors and occasional quality lapses. Overall it’s a welcoming, down-home spot worth a stop for breakfast or lunch when passing through.

**Parking:** There’s always parking available, even during busy hours. **Kid-friendliness:** It’s very family-friendly, and I’ve been bringing my nephews since they were little. The staff and owner actively engage with them, and there’s even a basket of Dum Dum suckers to choose from! **Wheelchair accessibility:** The entrance has a ramp, and everything is on one level. The bathrooms are spacious enough to accommodate everyone. I’ve seen guests in wheelchairs, and they seem to have no issues getting around.

We easily found a booth despite it being busy at 1045-ish, but it went downhill from there. Our drink order wasn’t taken for about 10 minutes after we sat down then it took another 10 minutes to receive them. We waited another 10 minutes for our order to be taken and it took about 25 minutes to get our sandwiches. Two gentlemen who came in at the same time as us were already done with their meals, had received their to-go orders and were out the door by the time we got our food. The “cod” sandwich was nothing more than a square fish patty, and was overcooked. My husband asked for it with only cheese but there was tomato juice and seeds on the bun, clearly indicative they didn’t pay attention to the order. My chicken philly was fine, until I got to the half with a very long, brown hair in it. We always try to support local restaurants during our travels but this was one of our poorest choices ever.

I had breakfast here twice because we liked it so much. Wilma was an amazing waitress! Our second breakfast was even better than the first. The pancakes were light and fluffy.
