I visited the restaurant on Friday to pick up some wine and cheese, but I was met with a very rude and abrupt staff member. The lady who served me had a terrible attitude and seemed impatient when I took a bit longer to place my order. With more than an hour to spare while in Kings Langley High Street, I popped into Dalling Deli. I ordered a hot chocolate and asked if they had a gluten free cake. Charlotte behind the counter offered a choice of three. Impressive! I chose the lemon drizzle which was delicious. The hot chocolate, first and last image, speaks for itself. It was past 5.30pm and clearing up time so I took my tray through to the adjoining wine shop/bar. I believe it stays open until 9pm. Several people were drinking wine and there was a relaxed, happy atmosphere. I didn't get the name of the young man behind the bar, but he was courteous and helpful to people who came to buy or sit. Charming staff, lovely ambience and a broad range of great products. Definately worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood. I'll certainly be back.
An exceptional evening thanks to hosts Jeoff and Claire. Wine tasting was great fun and informative, accompanied by delicious food. Highly recommend.
A very pleasant easy going place for a drink and snack or cake. Nice watching the world go by, sitting higher up than the main road going through the village. The only fault is the rubbish under the tables and tables need to be cleared as the customer leaves. Fag butts in the flower pots not cleared for many days or more.
