Since its closure,... read more The closure of the New Akash Restaurant was a disappointment for those of us in West Berkhamsted who had been loyal customers for many years. Since its closure, I have tried various other restaurants on the High Street, but none have compared to the meal I had tonight from Akash's takeout service, Phoenix from the Flames. The chef recommended the beef curry, which was truly the best dish I have had in the 30 years I have lived here. The flavors were so intense, reminiscent of my time living in East London. Additionally, I was pleasantly surprised when I received two dinners delivered to my door for just £30. It was a fantastic experience, and I will definitely be ordering again next weekend.

Having atblong last tried the Akash Takeway , I can say it as good as the restaurant was and I’m not sure why I’m surprised , as it’s the same team as far as I know .
