The food at this restaurant is always excellent, especially the fish dishes. I highly recommend it as another dining option while staying in the nearby resort village.
My two friends and I decided to stop at Madfish in Cronin’s Bar in Crosshaven for lunch on a Monday. It was a spontaneous decision and we weren't disappointed. We all ordered the fish and chips, which came with generous portions of white fish in a light batter. The bar had an old-fashioned atmosphere with lots of interesting trinkets and decorations.
I went to MADFISH at Cronin's Pub and Restaurant on a rainy Saturday afternoon while on my way to visit Camden Fort Meagher, one of the best-preserved classical artillery forts in the world. I decided to have a quick semi-liquid lunch of the Mad Fish Soup with brown bread. The soup was served promptly and I really enjoyed it. I definitely plan to come back as the menu was intriguing, especially the open Rueben sandwich with local Spice Beef. The atmosphere, ambiance, and service were all excellent. I noticed many happy customers with different menu choices on their tables. I will definitely be returning for the Rueben sandwich.
After a really busy week it was a pure pleasure to eat at Cronin's mad fish restaurant last evening. Service and food both excellent. But that pork belly starter..... I will return for that alone!
Friends and I were staying in our house down in Crosshaven and decided to go out to dinner. I made a reservation for the Mad Fish restaurant online using their website, which was very convenient. The restaurant was pretty busy as it was the last...Saturday of the summer. The majority of the men was fish, but most of us were ok with that. I had the special of scallops and prawns and it was divine. Perfectly cooked and served with a slice of delicious brown bread! I tried my husbands squid and that was also delicious. The chicken wings special were also complimented. I had the mussels for main and it was a huge portion and oh so tasty. My husband had the mussel, monkfish and chorizo concoction which he said was very tasty. The fish and chips were HUGE and perfectly cooked. One guy had the steak which was cooked just as requested and the onion rings served with it looked so good, we ordered a portion for the table. We didnt have dessert as we were so full! Came to all up with a few drinks thrown in so quid a head which was very reasonable considering the quality of the food. Staff were very friendly and efficient and there was a great buzz about the place. Loved the art work in the restaurant area!
