Reviews - Mac Daddy's
Reviews summary
Nestled along the Deversion Channel, Mac Daddy's offers a dining experience celebrated for its picturesque views and home-cooked meals. Guests rave about the delightful catfish options—both the sandwich and platter are standout selections. While the food often impresses, service inconsistencies have been noted, ranging from slow wait times to disorganized staff. Some patrons express concerns about cleanliness and attentiveness, though friendly servers do emerge amidst the chaos. The atmosphere is enhanced by outdoor seating, inviting returning visits for those seeking a casual meal with a scenic backdrop. Overall, it's a charming spot with potential for improvement.

They always have a lunch buffet and it never disappoints. The fried catfish is some of the best around and their fried chicken is the best anywhere. Highly recommend the food, service and the view! View all feedback.

I had a delicious home-cooked meal of pork chop, black-eyed peas, rice, and gravy. The food was excellent. One thing to note is that masks are not required at this restaurant.

I said yes you either refund me or I 'll bring you 2 BLT 's and you give me what I ordered. She then told me not to threaten her and hung up. I called back and I am still waiting for the manager. No refund No correct order. I will never order again, the least they can do is correct their mistakes
What a great place. We ate there last night with friends and we can’t say enough about our server. Unfortunately we didn’t get her name but she was fantastic. The food was delicious. My wife had the catfish filet, my friends wife had the catfish sandwich and my friend and I both had the chicken fried steak. If we were still there I would have it again today. We sat outside in late afternoon and had a beautiful breeze and a view of the water. What a great experience! A hidden gem for sure and the patio is dog friendly!
I had the pleasure of visiting this fabulous low country restaurant this evening. It was absolutely wonderful. My waitress was so absolutely nice with exceptional manners. She was very knowledgeable about the food being served and the surrounding areas. Her manners were truly southern and exceptional. If you get the chance to visit this establishment please request to have Heather to be your waitress. She is so polite and knowledgeable about the lakes and surrounding areas. Oh by the way the food was awesome. Visit and enjoy.

I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I had to wait 30 minutes for my order, and the fries were soggy, the hush puppies were burnt and unpleasant. The portion of flounder and oysters I received seemed overpriced. The waiter was friendly, but the additional charge for using a card for to-go orders was off-putting. I had wanted to try the Gator bites, but they were already sold out. I am unsure if I would dine here again.
Today we took a nice trip to the Deversion Channel to have lunch at a restaurant called Mac Daddy's. We had already eaten here before and it was worth the trip from Summerville. We sat outside on the terrace on this nice day and enjoyed watching the boats go by with a fantastic view. You can even arrive by boat at the harbor and eat here. The food was good and the staff was friendly. It was a short drive for us, but definitely worth it. If you're looking for a place to eat with a great view of the channel and good service, be sure to stop by here. We will definitely be back!
If they have a big purse, I would recommend it $107 for 4 cheese burger teller these prices are ridiculous too high for foods that are so little disabled and get on firm they don't care about them they want their $ ill grill my own from now on ill never eat here again and again good food high as everyone out, it should be illegal to change this much its not only food it is some thing
