Today we took a nice trip to the Deversion Channel to have lunch at a restaurant called Mac Daddy's. We had already eaten here before and it was worth the trip from Summerville. We sat outside on the terrace on this nice day and enjoyed watching the boats go by with a fantastic view. You can even arrive by boat at the harbor and eat here. I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I had to wait 30 minutes for my order, and the fries were soggy, the hush puppies were burnt and unpleasant. The portion of flounder and oysters I received seemed overpriced. The waiter was friendly, but the additional charge for using a card for to-go orders was off-putting. I stayed close by and this restaurant near me was excellent. The catfish was awesome.
The breakfast at this restaurant was delicious and filling. The pancakes, eggs, hash browns, and bacon were all excellent. The service was also great, and there was a nice view of the canal. The building could use some updates, but the fact that they have both boat and land access is convenient.
I had a delicious home-cooked meal of pork chop, black-eyed peas, rice, and gravy. The food was excellent. One thing to note is that masks are not required at this restaurant.
I love it, awesome!!! I have ate there 3 days in a row. The food is off the chain.
Parking: I had country fried steak. VERY good.
