Was Wesley “ElderGeek” Tyler at Blacks Camp a mag?
At the back, there's a spacious and clean restaurant with plenty of room to unwind. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always willing to lend a hand. The food is exceptional, whether you're visiting for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. My personal favorite breakfast dish is the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich—I loved it so much that I ended up having two! For lunch or dinner, you can't go wrong with the hamburger, mad... What Kaitlyn Smitham dislikes about Blacks Camp:
The service at this restaurant was truly disappointing. We arrived and seated ourselves, but we waited for 10 to 15 minutes without anyone attending to us. After that long wait, we made the decision to leave. It would have been helpful if there had been a sign on the door notifying us of any delays, but there was nothing. No one communicated with us at all. We won't be coming back to this restaurant. View all feedback.

Took our motorhome out there and stayed for 8 months. Awesome experience and all staff was really professional and courteous. Place is secluded and quiet very family friendly. Service: 5
Great day fishing with Pete’s Guided Tours on Lake Moultrie. Black’s Fish Camp was the perfect place to stay the night before. Super service and wonderful place to start.
If you’re looking for a true hidden gem in Cross, South Carolina, Black’s Camp is the place to be. When you pull up, you’ll see they own the entire area, with plenty of parking and a prime waterfront location on the Santee lakes. The first thing you’ll walk into is a fully stocked convenience store and bait and tackle shop, perfect for all your fishing needs. In the back, you’ll find a spacious, clean restaurant with plenty of room to relax. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The food is outstanding, whether you're there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. My personal favorite breakfast item is the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich—I loved it so much that I had two of them while I was there! For lunch or dinner, you can't go wrong with the hamburger. It’s a half-pound of hand-pattied, in-house beef, and it ranks among the best burgers I've ever had. I also tried the fried flounder, which was delightfully light, flaky, and crispy. With a boat ramp out front, a campground, and a motel on site, Black’s Camp has everything you need for the perfect lakeside getaway. Fishing, lodging, dining—what more could you ask for?
I frequently launch my boat there, and eat lunch or dinner when I get off the water at their restaurant . They have the best cheeseburger and mozzarella sticks in the entire SC low country! Service: 5
Nestled near the Santee Cooper chain of lakes, this restaurant serves as a dual-purpose destination for both dining and outdoor recreation. While some patrons have experienced disappointing service, others have praised the delicious food and friendly atmosphere following its recent renovations. The facility offers easy boating access, making it a favorite for fishing enthusiasts seeking to catch bass and striper. With well-maintained boats and affordable fees, it promises a great day on the water. Despite mixed reviews on charter services, many visitors appreciate the stunning scenery and the camaraderie of fishing. A visit here is sure to please nature lovers and foodies alike.

During the trip, we caught 12 fish, but to my dismay, the captain didn't clean them; I had to pay someone else to do it. It wasn't a huge amount, but when you're paying $350 for the day, you expect more for your money. On the second day, our fishing was cut short due to bad weather, and we came back to camp by 11 AM. On the way back, the captain mentioned that he had received complaints from other guests, yet he didn't offer any partial refund of my $350, even though we only fished for a handful of hours and caught just 7 fish. I ended up giving him a $50 tip as well. As for the accommodation at Blacks Camp, it cost $80 for a room that had no fridge or microwave, and it didn’t feel worth the price. All in all, I left feeling like I spent a significant amount of money without getting my money’s worth. I caught 19 fish in total, but I wonder if the authorities know how Mr. White operates under such questionable circumstances, with two boats doing business in different locations.

This review is centered on a restaurant that caters to bass fishing enthusiasts and tournaments. It's a fantastic spot for families, friends, and anyone who enjoys camping and fishing. The boats available are well-maintained, allowing for a quick and hassle-free launch. With a modest entry fee of just $5.00, it’s quite affordable. My wife and I recently experienced this bass fisherman's haven and were thoroughly impressed. As a bass boat owner, I am definitely planning to return. I appreciate the friendly staff and the reasonable prices. The facility offers convenient access to the Santee Cooper chain of lakes, particularly on the Moultrie side. The bass and striper fishing here is outstanding; however, it’s essential to have a safe and reliable bass boat when navigating these expansive lakes. The Santee Cooper lakes can resemble small oceans and pose risks for smaller boats.
