Dunkin' - Crestview
Dunkin'
Description
A newly updated Dunkin' balances convenience and speed with inconsistent execution. The tidy, refreshed shop and often-friendly crew deliver quick coffee, bagels and breakfast sandwiches, but order accuracy, app-based rewards and fresh-donut quality can be hit-or-miss. Managers sometimes resolve issues and loyal patrons value the proximity, yet app glitches, unanswered calls and occasional stock shortages leave mornings frustrating. A convenient stop for commuters and regulars with clear room for operational improvement.

We went through drive through and we were customer number 7155. My daughter got a drink and I got a coffee. We also asked for 10 munchkin doughnuts in variety form and didn't get much of a variety and they were hard. Customer service is very blah also.
I visited this recently updated to the new Dunkin brand location mid-morning on a weekday. Since it was recently updated, the store appears clean and well maintained. I ordered 1 donut and a hot chocolate. Both were good, although the donut wasn 't as fresh as I would imagine it should be since it was still morning time. However, it was still good, and it didn 't stop me from eating it.? Staff was quick, efficient and friendly.
Generally I would not have anything to say other than I love Dunkin 's Midnight Roast hot coffee. However, this morning as I approached the drive-thru and asked the young lady something about the company she works for app, I was clearly told she knows nothing about the app, it is my responsibility to have the coupon ready (basically). Here is my concern, if this establishment is going to have an app, employee 's should be trained to assist customers (if needed). If employees are trained or have knowledge and feel like it is not there responsibility to assist customers with the app that too is questionable, on a customer service level. Nevertheless, customer service is priority. Even when the product is not so great, customer service is often the foundation of people returning, I think I will move on.
I typically prefer Dunkin' Donuts over other coffee shops in Crestview. I usually visit the one in Destin, but recently decided to try the one closer to my home, which is about six miles away. I used to go there every day without using the app, but my daughter encouraged me to start using it to earn points and rewards. Unfortunately, I expected the staff to be knowledgeable about the app, but that wasn’t the case. In November, I made an effort to visit 12 times to unlock certain rewards, but several times my points didn't get scanned, or I was charged full price even when I tried to use a free reward. When I asked the baristas questions about the app, they gave me confused looks and didn’t provide the correct information. I often had to request the manager to explain things, and he was helpful, but it became frustrating. It feels like too much of a hassle to drive to Dunkin’ every day just to navigate their app and try to accumulate points. I’d often see promotions for free drinks, only to find out the app wasn’t working or I was charged full price after scanning my barcode, causing my offers to disappear. It’s been a waste of my time each morning. While Dunkin’ offers more options, at least Starbucks doesn’t give you those puzzled looks, and their app functions properly. The last time I visited, I told the manager that I wouldn’t be returning. I’ve been a loyal Dunkin’ customer for years and have spent thousands there, always treating the staff kindly. However, my recent experiences since the new location opened haven't been the best start to my mornings. I think it's time to give Starbucks another try.
