Not been here for at least 30 years but it's fantastic great food a lovely staff I can highly recommend it plus very reasonable prices
We took advantage of the 'Eat Out to Help Out' deal at this restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly man who was very accommodating. We visited during lunchtime on a very hot day and the restaurant was cool and comfortable inside. I ordered chicken breast in a creamy white sauce with bacon and mushrooms, while my husband had the salmon with prawns in a delicious sauce, both served with fresh vegetables and incredible roast potatoes. We were too full for individual desserts, so we shared a delicious homemade trifle. We had a fantastic experience and will definitely return. Other reviews have described this place as more than just a cafe, and we agree.
After a somber day at a funeral, my group of 8 decided to stop for lunch. We anticipated a long wait due to our size, but were pleasantly surprised. We ordered a variety of dishes, from hot sandwiches to full meals, and everything was served promptly and hot. The selection of vegetables and potatoes was excellent. None of us had any complaints about the food. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent. It was a great stop for us during a difficult day.
I stayed near Cracoe and decided to visit this cafe. The food was fabulous - I had the roast beef which was delicious and melt-in-your-mouth tender. My relative had the battered haddock in homemade batter and found it very tasty. Definitely recommend a visit!
