Upperline - Cozumel

Definitely one of the best restaurants in New Orleans. The friend green tomatoes with shrimp remoulade in particular was one of the best dishes I had on this trip. Which makes sense, considering this (now) New Orleans staple was created at Upperline! I liked the course dinner option. Portion sizes were large. I left stuffed. I love the comforting feel of this restaurant. Felt like home.

Please open. The people need you Ms. Clevenger and your wonderful food to make us happy again. I miss you and am hopeful to step into your restaurant soon.

This was our second trip to Upperline and found it as charming and tasty as the first visit. I had the Slow Roasted Duck with Peach Sauce, and my sister had the Cane River Gulf Shrimp Saute. The desert selection was the Creme Brule, We enjoyed the setting and staff and we will return on future trips.

Nice selection of foods and wine. Cozy atmosphere. Perfect for an afternoon/evening chill-out. Exceptional service! Absolutely affordable.

My parents are visiting from Ohio, and I am heartbroken that I can't take them to meet Ms. Clevenger in those cozy rooms and to eat the lovely food. Imagine writing a review for a restaurant that isn't even open, and may never be again, God forbid. Well, that's what I'm doing. Eating there 18 months ago turtle soup, shrimp remoulade, and roast duck was one of the great dinners of my life, and I hope with my heart to see their doors open again.
