This place was a little off the beaten path and, at times made it feel like we weren't in a safe neighborhood. You quickly realize that that is part of the charm of New Orleans, with it's rustic homes battered streets and surviving spirit, it made us feel right at home. I first went to this restaurant many years ago with my mother and we had an excellent time, great food, great service. However, recently, my husband and I went back and it was like hipsters took over, made portions smaller and prices higher.
