10/10! The food was soooo delicious! Our waiter Mark was amazing. Very attentive and super welcoming. He recommended us the Shrimp Caminada Po-boy and Blackened Gulf Fish Crawfish Tails. Will definitley be coming back when I'm in nola and asking for Mark!.
What Larry Brix doesn't like about Grand Isle:
During our visit to this restaurant, my wife and I decided to try their pasta dishes and seafood sausage gumbo. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the quality of the food. The bread served with our pasta was burnt, and we had to request a replacement. While the pasta was decent, the gumbo did not meet our expectations at all. The food is fantastic, jambalaya, Cesar salad and shrimp po boy was very good. We were one of about 4 tables. The staff around outnumbered the guests and the service was below adequate, especially with adding 20% automatically put on your bill. We watched our waitress stand at the hostess station and chat most of the time. Other tables getting served by other wait staff received much different experiences.
The crawfish balls were really good I also had the hot crab dip that was good also The alcohol drinks we weak the waiter OMG VERY NICE FRIENDLY
The food was good, but only saw the waitress twice. The hostess had to bring us seafood sauce. Didn't know she added her 20% tip on the bill and there were only two of us. She was terrible!!
This place is amazing! We came for happy hour on a Wednesday. The food came out with perfect timing as we were eating non-stop. Every dish they prepared was hot, fresh straight off the grill. Our waiter, Mark, was amazing and got our happy hour drinks in on time. I recommend this place 100%. Mark, continue doing what you love!
Outstanding service and 5 star food. Definitely try the Crawfish Beigniets. Great attentive staff, even with minimal people working. This place is awesome and I would eat here regularly if I was local!
