A bit pricey (more so than where I have visited from in London) BUT the quality of the chips and the portion size more than makes up for it. OK, this may break the bank if you ate here everyday or if you are greedy (like me) but for a treat once in a while, this chippy is tremendous (we had a take away of chips, mushy peas and curry sauce). What RTAlly doesn't like about Corries Cabin:
One of the worst fish and chip meals, I’ve ever eaten: the fish was over cooked and dry, I suspect it had been languishing in the warmer for a while and was then refried, my sister’s was the same. Another portion of fish was full of large bones at one end. The chips were soggy. At least the mushy peas were ok! We won’t be returning. View all feedback.
After coming here happily for years we had a disappointing meal. Large fish more like a medium and stuck together in a box. Greasy unfortunately too. Asked for 5 curry sauces. And when home we have one curry sauce. Only charged for one though. Thankfully! So a disappointed family waiting for curry sauce to go with their meal. Not a cheap meal and a treat for the family that wasn’t really enjoyed. We were sharing the fish so everyone ended up with a little fish and chips.
Really tasty fish and chips in central Cowes. The medium cod had lovely light batter and chips were good. Great portions and pleasant surroundings with excellent service.
Fair fish and chips. Mushy peas would get a thumbs down in Birmingham though not mushed enough. Good service.

Excellent service and lovely quality, the fish tested fresh and the batter was nice and crispy. I would recommend visiting Corries Cabin in Cowes Isle of Wight.
