Cosy location and friendly staff. Food was of high quality and great service, with entree, bread and desserts offered from the kitchen. Wine was nice too. Enjoyable dinner! View all feedback.
Wonderful little restaurant. no menu. we advise the cook of nutritional requirements and everything was taken on itself. eating was breathtaking. we have lost the number of courses we had for dinner! without doubt, one of the most beautiful restaurants I was. the highlight of the dinner was a homemade lemon meniscus!
Beautiful little quirky restaurant. with no published menu, just turn and expect a handwritten menu with a small set of about 7 different orientations, all served as tasting plates somewhat larger portions than tapas, but not full meal times. during our visit we have 5 between 2 people, in addition to the amuse bouche, brot and black garlic butter and mini desert. we still found space for an additional salted caramel ice cream (lightly over salted to my taste and 2(! bottle orange wein, another unusual thing they have specialized in. a wonderful culinary experience overall, highly recommended.
Absolutely amazing! the food and service were simply excellent! Not to mention the trips! we ordered 4 small tellers and we were pleasantly surprised to get 5 more complemetic dishes on the house! the owner told us that she had planned 8 complementary dishes for everyone table, but we were so full that we had to stop after the 2nd desert. our total price for 4 dishes and 3 glasses wein was £50!.
Came here at a late Monday evening to dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the sheer quality of the dishes and the hospitality. the cod was made exactly right, very delicate and smooth filet, while the Thai green curry garnish was not too strong. the lamb was on the pink side, which again served perfectly with the sauce and maic. the meat was very delicate, especially the lungs. the night served by her amazing homemade salt caramel ice cream with her brot and butter pudding, which was very smooth and not icy. all in all, 5 out of 5 for this small family-run restaurant embedded in the city cowes excellent!
Been here twice now and will certainly be going again. Just enjoyed a fantastic NYE meal. Best restaurant on the island. The black garlic butter is to die for. The home made salted caramel ice cream is staggering.
