If you like Indian curries and in particular vegetarian, then you will enjoy this restaurant. Panjabi Hut is authentic food. If you are going for the first time then try thaali, samosa or any of their chat items. I would also recommend Chole Batturey. Batturey's are well fermented and hence a delight to eat it when served hot. We have been there on multiple occasions. We have thoroughly enjoyed each time. I haven't t... View all feedback.
What RKNAG doesn't like about Panjabi Hut Coventry:
The last time I came here I asked the guy in the turban how much something was. He asked me if I was blind! How rude. I then made an error to call and order some samosas today. The woman couldn't understand a word of English then rudely put me on to another lady whom i had to explain what I wanted only to be told they will be closed..awful service given to non Sikhs. They are so rude and stuck in the dark ages. Horri... View all feedback.
Disappointed! Ordered a vegan pizza when my pizza came it was clear the pizza had not been made fresh!! It was warm and not like it had just come out of an oven. Bought this twice now and the same on both occasions? Why do you pre cook your pizzas and then just warm them up when people order. Great list of vegan options just upsetting they don't do them fresh as you have a great selection for vegans!
Awful experience which ought to be shared. Ordered food, chips were cold, waiter took the chips around the back and 2 minutes later returned. It was obvious they had been re-heated in the microwave. Still cold! The waiter then began remonstrating that the chips were hot and that they must have been cold because they'd been sitting on our table for 10 minutes and that they were cold because the sauce on top had made them cold! You can't make it up! 10 minutes before hand we hadn't even had our food brought to our table! The waiter then begrudgingly trotted back to his hide out around the back and left us with yet again cold chips. The pizza we ordered was okay, but very sub standard. We complained on paying the bill only be told everyone wants discount and that's why were complaining. The fact was we hadn't even touched the chips we ordered, surely that's scientific proof that they were cold. The owner offered to waive all payments but we insisted on paying what we did eat, for which we did. Never again. Hope they learn from this and realise that customers know best to succeed in this type of business. I hope they heed this advice and on viewing work towards holding on to their 4 rating by the Foods Standards Agency.
I've been here a few times now and here's what I think; The food is on the whole genuine Indian (desi) food. I've tried a fair few dishes on the menu and have no reason to grumble. They not only serve Indian food but you can also get pizzas chips etc too. My only small moan, would be that the interior could do with a little updating but otherwise it's definitely not a bad place at all for a reasonably priced meal.
Plenty of vegan options here and a venue recommended by Coventry Vegans. I first made a call asking about the veggie burgers and I was told that they could make them vegan, so we ordered two vegan burgers and chips. When we arrived we discovered a little aladdins cave! Lots of fresh, chilled and hot vegan options available at REALLY GOOD prices. A venue we will definitely be returning to!! Thank you! Five-stars for being so vegan friendly!
Oofft what can i say These vegetable samosas are a treat Very tastey I would recommend this to everyone
