We were at the hotel continental Canadian hotel. Before it was Howard Johnson. The continental breakfast is the worst. So we went looking for a QUEBECOIS breakfast. And not. Did we found one harvs. Friendy service. And GREAT BREAKFAST.
I was unsure about eating at this restaurant initially, but it was bustling so I decided to give it a try. I had eggs for breakfast, and since it was already lunchtime, I ordered the homemade beef barley soup and a grilled cheese sandwich, which was a good choice! The soup was flavorful and hearty, and you can't go wrong with cheese slices on white bread for the grilled cheese. My friend ordered the burger, which came with tasty fries as a surprise. The waitresses were busy but friendly. This restaurant only accepts cash, but most of the locals are aware of this.
We had breakfast at this restaurant, where we ordered speck, eggs, deep-fried potatoes, toast and jam. Two coffees were included with the meal. We didn't particularly enjoy the deep-fried potatoes and left most of them uneaten. The meal itself was good, and the coffee was decent. However, we found the cups to be very small by Canadian standards. The waitstaff were polite but not overly friendly. One of the table cleaners was very friendly and engaged in pleasant conversation with us. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean.
Very good food, excellent service, friendly staff, full restaurant, excellent value, good food is worth
Went to Harv's between hockey games at the Benson Centre. We had 18 people. The service was quick and the food was good. The hungry Harv's is a solid plate at a reasonable price. Eggs Benedict looked good. Worth the visit. Note it is only...open in the mornings and for lunch. Closes by 1:30 or 2:00pm.
