Description
Nestled within a hotel, this restaurant offers stunning views and a diverse drink selection, complemented by a friendly staff. However, experiences vary widely. Diners have noted inconsistencies in food quality, with some meals impressively executed while others fell flat, often marked by bland flavors or missing components. Service, though occasionally slow, has improved in recent visits, transforming previous disappointments into positive experiences. Many appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and kid-friendly menu, making it a decent option for families. We are in the hotel on our last night and I was very impressed with the food. There were a range of good meals available and it was a difficult choice. My trout starter was beautiful and the steak with Jenga chips was quite a tasty plateful. Service was very good too. Worth a visit
A evening meal with family and friends, the food was OK and reasonable priced, the staff where very friendly, the view from the Bar is fantasic and on warm nights you can sit outside.
Great informal bar with a good selection of beer and food. Food quality very good. Sky TV and a large patio overlooking the river.
Friendly helpful staff, good food, nice surroundings, maybe a little bit pricey but you get what you pay for
My brother and his partner visited me in Cumbria to celebrate his 55th birthday. His requirement was 'a good steak ' and he certainly got that with all the trimmings at the newly refurbished (after the December 2015 floods) Dolly Blue Bar. His partner had the Cajun chicken with salad and a side, I had the steak burger and they were all delicious. The new chef and servers in Dolly Blue provided superb cuisine and excellent service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
