My friends and I (8) Food in one of the cabins. The food was abundant and delicious. Salads, pasta, haggis n sauces, garlic bread, pizza. . . The list continues, and all very well cooked and presented. A great way for friends to eat together. The food is placed on a 'lazy susan and everyone helps. The owners are charming people and make sure to enjoy the night.
I recently had a wonderful meal that was well-prepared and absolutely delicious. The food was excellent and cooked perfectly!
"This restaurant is a fantastic place with excellent food and very good staff. The prices for the food are very reasonable and the service is very prompt. The atmosphere and surroundings are nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, as it is well worth a visit."
The Cumbrian Lodge used to be one of the top dining spots in West Cumbria. However, on my recent visit with friends, the food was a disappointment. I could have made a better meal at home. When I asked the owner if they had changed chefs, he confirmed they had. Despite spending over £150 for a meal for four and receiving a voucher for 20% off our next visit (which we never used), I was left feeling unsatisfied. It's time for the Cumbrian Lodge to make some changes.
Great rooms, very well equipped and very good showers. The owners and the staff are charming and the exclusive atmosphere for the hotel and restaurant really makes you feel welcome.First meal, a huge 'full Cumbrian breakfast' and a good selection of beers. The most outstanding thing is undoubtedly the exterior/Hideaways shelters that warm up and are great!!Book early to get in, worth it.
