Applebee's - Concord
Applebee's
Description
Applebee's offers a mix of experiences that can vary significantly from visit to visit. Patrons have praised the restaurant for its Cajun baked salmon and mouth-watering sirloin steaks when cooked to order. However, inconsistencies in food quality, such as overcooked or undercooked dishes, and lackluster service have left some diners disappointed. The atmosphere is often marred by slow service and bland, uninspired menu options. While happy hour deals attract some, others feel the prices are high for the portions served. Overall, Applebee's remains a familiar choice for many, but some customers are re-evaluating their loyalty.

I decided to go with the classic choice at this restaurant, the chicken tenders, but was disappointed to find them dry and tough. My dining companion also had dry french fries. Although the tenders were removed from the bill, it was surprising to see such a simple dish go wrong. The restaurant was not busy, yet we still felt cold during our meal.
The restaurant offers happy hour specials from 2-5pm and 9pm until closing with half-price menu items and discounted drinks. However, outside of happy hour, the prices are considered high for the portion sizes and the menu has remained unchanged for years.
Well for starters I was there with my mother and my son My son's five they hand him a coloring page and say oh we're at a crayons there's a Walmart not 2 seconds down the road You telling me your manager can't go and pick up crayons so the kids can have something to play with but you hand my son something to color with but you don't have any crayons That's ridiculous to start off with secondly we were there for about an hour and we ordered my son's food with an appetizer and then when the waitress came back we ordered our appetizers we never saw our appetizers and we never saw our our main courses not once we got sick of it and said look we got to go we're going to miss our appointment set here for an hour the important thing was you know my son and her grandchild had he was full that's fine with us but we want to go and we were not pleased with with any of it at all.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who does not eat meat. Even the pasta dishes contain meat. The only dish suitable for pescetarians that I found was the salmon, which was a bit dry, but tasted better with the honey pepper sauce on the side (which I highly recommend!). The mashed potatoes were delicious, but the caesar salad was bland. The spinach artichoke dip was tasty, as were the soft pretzels once you brush off the excessive salt. The alcoholic drinks were weak. Overall, the food was mediocre. However, our server, Bill, was excellent. He was friendly, engaging, and attentive. Vegetarian options are very limited, with hardly any main courses available besides appetizers and desserts.
