I asked for a Buffalo chicken wrap instead of the honey barbecue chicken wrap listed on the menu, and the kitchen executed it perfectly. The lettuce was fresh and crisp, and the Buffalo chicken was tender, with just the right amount of spice. The fries were served hot and lightly salted—exactly how I like them. Our server, Amanda, was both friendly and attentive, providing outstanding service. The tables and menus were spotless. It had been quite some time since my last visit to Ninety Nine Diner, back before the pandemic. To top it all off, there was a Trivia Thursday event going on, so I might just start coming back regularly on Thursdays!

I brought this to the waitress's attention, and she asked if I wanted a replacement. If the first dish was mostly bones, it clearly suggests that someone isn't doing their job right. She took my plate but then handed us the bill without making any adjustments. I still left a $17 tip, but looking back, I wish I had gone to Ted's Fish Fry down the street instead. I certainly won't be coming back to this location!

It’s a fantastic choice due to its convenient location, although it can get quite busy during peak times. The atmosphere is laid-back, making it ideal for lighthearted chats and enjoyable moments over great food. And when I say "great food," I truly mean it! The lunch and dinner salads are outstanding—generous portions that are both satisfying and delicious. While I haven’t tried everything on the menu yet, everything I've had so far has been served fresh, hot, and incredibly flavorful. I've enjoyed the scrod twice, and both times it was cooked to perfection. The desserts might not be huge, but they are rich and delightful. If you’re dining with just a couple of friends and feel too full for dessert, I suggest ordering one to share with multiple forks—you won’t regret it! Additionally, the waitstaff is efficient, attentive, and charmingly friendly.
