The Rum Runner Pub - Coleman
The Rum Runner Pub
Description
Tucked into Crowsnest Pass, this lively pub charms with canoe-adorned decor, a sunny patio and hearty, well-priced pub fare — think oversized burgers, poutine and generous sides. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and buzzing with local history, though the kitchen can slow down during rushes and a few dishes show uneven quality. Overall it's a welcoming spot for groups, travelers and anyone after a satisfying, flavorful meal and a good local vibe.

One of the best burger places I’ve ever been to! The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing.
This restaurant has a great vibe and friendly staff, but unfortunately, the food didn't meet my expectations. Perhaps I chose the wrong dish based on other reviews. I ordered the brisket plate, and the brisket was quite disappointing—chewy and lacking flavor. The fries were decent, but the gravy left much to be desired. The cornbread was acceptable, while the beans were just average. However, the coleslaw was particularly unpleasant. Coleslaw is usually a simple mix of shredded cabbage and maybe some carrot, but the addition of red onion completely ruined this classic dish for me.
Don't normally give 5 across the board but this is our stopping place on the drive back from kimberley to Cowtown! Cheap alberta petrol over the road too!
Delicious food! Excellent service! An incredible atmosphere for adults. Don't forget to inquire about the Rum Running ledge that inspired the name of this place. It's all part of the fascinating history of Crowsnest Pass.
