Was in the area for our anniversary and thought let’s have some nice steaks. Boy were we ever wrong on that. My husband go the 10 ounce Rib Eye and the steak was almost mostly fat. The mashed potatoes were from the previous day, or...at least tasted like it. The ribs had so much smoke flap or that it tasted like it came out of the ashes of the campfire. Our group of 11 decided to sit on the patio for dinner. The server was prompt to take our drink orders and explained the menu specials. We waited about 45 minutes for our meals to arrive but no one was disappointed. I ordered the Deep-Fried pickle hamburger! It is a good sized hamburger with 2 deep-fried pickles on top of everything inside the bun. It was excellent! Others in our group said their meals were also excellent!
The food here is super, we had a late dinner there and were most impressed. The server was pleasant and well deserved of her tip. I would surely eat here again.
Visited here on a road trip through Alberta and British Columbia. Recommended by friends under the old name of popeil. Friendly service and fresh food
This restaurant/pub has a great decor ,very good service, and very good menu choices and presentation.My one companion was very happy with their steak, one other had very dry and overcooked ribs ( a disappointment at a smokehouse), my entree was cold before it got to the table.
I have eaten there a few times over the past 4 years because friends wanted to try it and it was excellent at one time. The problem I find is that they are very inconsistent. Its too bad because they have a good menu selection and great location. Time to pull up their socks if they want to survive in this environment. A renovation isn't going to be their solution.
