Was Jocelyn S at Green Spoon a mag?
Green Spoon is a must-stop for me every time I drive from New York City to my home upstate. I grab snacks for the journey, dinner, and essentials for cooking at home. You can really taste the love in everything they make. It's definitely one of my all-time favorite places. View all feedback.
What Princess Goodwin dislikes about Green Spoon:
If you're thinking about ordering grilled salmon from this restaurant, you might as well consider taking out a loan! To be honest, the prices here are quite steep for everything on the menu. View all feedback.
However, my recent visit to pick up some of their pre-packaged items was disappointing, and I cannot recommend it. The prices are outrageous! I'm willing to pay more for high-quality food, but this was ridiculous, especially since they don't use organic ingredients. I bought a salmon fillet for $25, then found out it would cost an additional $2 to have it cooked, plus tax. The staff initially forgot to include the cooking charge, so I had to pay that separately. When I got home, the salmon was still raw in the middle, and I had to cook it again myself. Essentially, I ended up spending $27 on a piece of salmon that I could have bought at Whole Foods for less, with better sourcing. Additionally, a small container of pre-packaged banchan costs $7 here, while it’s only $3.50 elsewhere. I get that there can be a slight markup for better quality, maybe 15-30%, but this is just excessive. I spent $69 on 5 items, which wasn’t even enough to feed two people for lunch. At these prices, I’d rather dine out at a restaurant where I won’t have to deal with cleaning up afterwards.

A charming little gem tucked away in Closter. You can really tell that everything is made with care and attention to detail. They emphasize quality over quantity. I had the kimchi, which was on the pricier side, but it was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented.
