J&W BBQ has now moved indoors and includes Mr. C's Soul Food. What a worthy addition! I stopped in last week, having a less that stellar morning because I left my computer at home. My day immediately brightened when I tasted the salmon croquette. Full of flavor and massive, the croquette was just like my grandmother used to make! I also got a side of potatoes and onions. After supporting this place for over 40 years and enjoying great, friendly service, I was disappointed. Your homemade sauce is incredible, and it’s a shame that the experience felt so unwelcoming this time. My wife, who is 81 and not particularly a fan of BBQ, still loves yours, but after this visit, I doubt we will return. It’s unfortunate, and I hope the restaurant reevaluates their service. This is not the old JWs; there's a new owner, and the food has changed. It's not good anymore. I recommend going to the REAL JWs over in Walnut Hills. I'm not sure what has changed, but it just doesn't taste the same.
The food is absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend that everyone go and try it for themselves.
