While some reviewers were disappointed by small portions or billing issues, others praised the ample portions and delicious meals. Highlights include the Sunday Roast and Nut Roast, as well as the inviting atmosphere and friendly service. With a mix of quality food, good drinks, and a lively atmosphere including Bingo and quizzes, The Somerset Wagon is a must-visit for those looking for a true village pub experience. Highly recommended for a warm and welcoming dining experience.
Been here a few times now, but this was first Sunday lunchtime. The meal was HUUUUGE... Choice of 3 meats, chicken, beef and pork. Chose to add extra pigs in blankets. Everything was well cooked and still hot when it got to us. Would def recommend, but make sure you bring a healthy appetite with you !!
Ok. Basic pub grub. Staff friendly. Interior basic.
On a Sunday night for a few drinks immersed around 6-30 o'clock, only to say we close around 19 o'clock who a pub around 19 o'clock on a sunny Sunday evening with approx. 25 people close, don't want to earn money. I've been staring a lot, probably because we didn't have a local accent. we found that all the other pubs were already closed near. let me guess, we made our money on eating during the day, so they drink after the kitchen closed, they go somewhere else. will not be back.
Dog friendly pub. Friendly polite staff. Nice traditional British food, good size portions. Cosy log fire. It's not a posh pub and to me all the better for it. keep it as it is
