Very good value for lunch deal which started well with lovely and refreshing Isle of Wight tomatoes salad and tempura aubergine with ponzu sauce. Both starters were bursting with bright citrusy flavour which makes you reach out for more after every bite. The pork main was a posh roast with thyme flavoured potatoes puree and jus. Unfortunately the meal was let down at the end by the chocolate mousse dessert which we found way too sweet with the combination of the sweet mousse, sweet preserved cherries and sweet sauce. We barely finished the chocolate dessert and gave the feedback to the waitress but nothing was done to rectify the issue we had. I been to the original Tare restaurant before and I really enjoyed my experience before. I think the new bistro concept is a good idea to make fine dining food more affordable and I support that. I hope to see some improvement in the execution of food and service and I will definitely go back to try the food again. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £40–50 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

We had a delicious lunch here. Exciting flavours and beautifully executed dishes. Excellent vegetarian options. Tip get some bread for the table to mop up the lip smacking sauces in the Isle of Wight tomatoes tempura brocolli dishes. The vanilla custard tart was perfection. Great friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection
