OK, I... read more What an amazing experience. Excellent 7-course tasting menu accompanied with their wine flight delivered by exemplary service, what was there not to like? OK, I questioned the eel (in my head), but it was actually really nice. You must book, and best ro arrive a few minutes early so service can begin on time.

The menu and the service were sophisticated, all delivered with a relaxed and unpretentious confidence that made it very easy to feel at ease. One surprise of the surprise menu on our visit was that it had a lot of fish but contained no meat dishes or red wines. For a blind menu this did seem to leave something missing, but it also provoked us to question our assumptions and to think about the menu more deeply. Every dish was superb, a balance of main events and delicious bites, and a menu matched appropriately to one of the hottest days of the summer. Was it a reaction to the weather or just a bold choice? I'll certainly be coming back in the winter to find out!

The food and the service was absolutely superb, absolutely flawless…I cannot remember the ladies name who looked after us but she was brilliant, full of banter and just seemed to get us. We even had a quick chat with the chef so a very nice touch. Would go here again in a heartbeat. Thanks so much for helping making my wife’s 30th go so well!

Every dish was interesting, well presented full of lovely seasonal flavours, and the wine pairings chosen by Amelia were excellent. The atmosphere is equally great gentle, loving chaos. Food and drink pairing were exceptional and the option for non-alcoholic was a really inclusive for the group. It's become a long discussion between us which was the standout dish...the cuppa soup, the chicken beans...they're all wrong it was the cheese. Or the bread! Oh and the Plaice! Dammit. The team are equally exceptional, creating an engaging and fun atmosphere. We loved the whole experience! My colleagues have not stopped talking about it so we'll all definitely be back at some point. All the best to you guys in the meantime.
