Highly highly recommend the steak tostadas and picadillo tostadas. The chicken is also extremely flavorful. I’ve been here a couple times and will continue to come back! The staff is very nice and the wait for your order is never long. View all feedback.
What Rigo Gawlina doesn't like about La Cabanita:
I've been here several times. The service is always friendly and quick. Secondly, the food is comparable or average to other Mexican restaurants. Lastly, I recommend getting anything with asada because it's tender. Overall, a nice little spot to grab lunch during work. Photos below: 1. Gordita with asada and a burrito dinner 2. Outside view 3. This little hole in the wall has a new customer! This was our first time trying them we both got fried tacos I got 3 beef and 2 potato tacos and 1 regular beef taco OMG so fire !! We got there just in time as they were shutting the power off to fix wires or something. The tacos were absolutely delicious and well seasoned...BRAVO!!Service was also good! We will be back!
The food is good. The lengua tacos are excellent when they 're fresh. Their steak burritos are good too, not a lot of fat or weird bits of chewy connective tissue. My grandson loves their crispy potato tacos. Their crispy beef and chicken tacos are pretty good. I just have one issue. Usually, when you order tacos anywhere, you get a choice of lettuce and tomatoes or Cilantro and cebolla. Here, if you order a taco with lettuce and tomato, they will still put raw onion it. So if I order crispy tacos or tostadas, I have to keep saying no onions, just lettuce, tomato and cheese -please . And then inevitably, I get onion on it or sometimes also cilantro. This is why I just go to Mr.TacoMex for crispy tacos now cause I don 't have to keep having this onion issue. On my steak, pastor, lengua, chicharron tacos, yes, raw onion and cilantro are great, but on crispy tacos and tostadas, that 's not my thing. How hard is that to get right? The Agua de Jamaica is pretty good. All their tacos are decent. And their beans are okay. Rice isn 't very flavorful. The place is kind of a hole in the wall. There is no dining in there and no bathroom, but they do take credit/debit cards. A lot of CPD, blue collar, and city workers come here. It 's not bad for a quick bite on the go. Make sure you call your order in before you get there. If you can 't, they 're still pretty fast.Vegetarian options: Crispy potato tacos mmmmm

Pretty good! Taste authentic. Red and green sauce is good. I got the taco dinner with everything on it. No real complaints. Service was quick. Ambiance was a little hole in the wall but those be the ones with the best food.
