For our meal, we ordered takoyaki, Kameya ramen (with extra spice on the side), Kameya roll, and Godzilla roll. The ramen had a rich, flavorful broth, though the pork belly was slightly overcooked. The sushi rolls were delicious and beautifully presented, with each table having a different plate design. We also ordered Schweinegyoza and 911 Lachs roll to go. What User doesn't like about Kameya:
Make sure to double-check your order before you leave. The food is delicious, but the prices and service are not the best. It is frustrating to travel all the way here for a special family meal, only to find out that an important part of the dinner is missing when you get home. With prices being so high, they should definitely put more effort into getting orders correct. View all feedback.
Great sushi and nigiri, it is a good quality. my family likes the raves. good mistsuppe, too. when they eat with someone who doesn't like sushi, the huhn teriyaki is a healthy option. I would take more from here, but it's a bit expensive to do often.
We’ve lived in the neighborhood for 5 years and just ordered takeout at Kameya for the very first time. Don’t make the same mistake as us! Order NOW! My wife has a peanut allergy and the staff was reassuring that their food is peanut free and safe for her to eat. This was her first ramen experience and now she’s hooked for life. We ordered a few appetizers and the Kameya ramen, everything was phenomenal. Thank you Kameya!
Stop it, just stop it……. Read if you want but I must warn you, if you get a reservation and you chose to go, you will never ever ever find another Ramen place that you’ll enjoy again. Make a reservation, eat the kameya ramen ? and thank me later.
The Kameya ramen was great and the BYOB policy is convenient. Friendly service and a quaint sidewalk patio.
Love the atmosphere here, we came here every time we visit Chicago.
