The narrow shopfront opens to a larger seating area behind the shop. Naturally, we started with some fried chicken - original and garlic & soy. I preferred the garlic & soy as there was more flavour. As a chicken lover (and Korean by descent), I have been to all different places for fried chicken - the one in Strathfield pub, Homebush, Arisun in CBD, Sparrows mill on Liverpool st and two other places in Chatswood - and Gallus by far is my favourite. read moreGallus Gallus is a cozy restaurant in Sydney that serves up some of the best Korean Fried Chicken in the area. While the chicken is frozen, it is still considered pretty decent and one of the top choices in Chatswood. Customers rave about the sweet and spicy chicken, as well as the quality of the chicken pieces which are juicy and cut into big chunks. The restaurant offers a variety of flavors and dishes, including original and garlic & soy fried chicken, along with a hot plate of chicken, cabbage, kimchi, and spicy gochujang sauce to be cooked at the table. Reviewers also enjoyed the Korean seafood pancake and Hite beer that paired well with the meals. Overall, Gallus Gallus is a must-visit spot for those looking to indulge in some freshly fried Korean Fried Chicken in a welcoming atmosphere.
