Hands down the best Korean Friend Chicken in Sydney. As a chicken lover (and Korean by descent), I have been to all different places for fried chicken - the one in Strathfield pub, Homebush, Arisun in CBD, Sparrows mill on Liverpool st and two other places in Chatswood - and Gallus by far is my favourite. I just keep going back to Gallus unless I am in a different suburb and my friends choose to go elsewhere. Gallus... View all feedback.
What Dean Parker doesn't like about Gallus Gallus:
The narrow shopfront opens to a larger seating area behind the shop. Naturally, we started with some fried chicken - original and garlic & soy. I preferred the garlic & soy as there was more flavour. We also ordered the CIY chicken, a hot plate of chicken pieces, cabbage, kim chi and spicy gochujang sauce to be cooked at the table. Pieces of chewy rice cakes added texture and you can ask for the special purpl... View all feedback.
Cozy restaurant and great local place for chicken and beer with a few friends. Definitely not the best chicken around (all their chicken is frozen) but still pretty decent. I would actually say it's been the best fried chicken in Chatswood area. Good choices are the spicy chicken and the wings, and the dak galbi is okay.
Suburbs like Chatty and Stra are packed with KFC (Korean fried chicken) places. Gallus Gallus is the best place to go to for a a late night chimaek experience. The interior also has that drinking place feeling like many places in Korea. Moreover, Gallus Gallus offers a huge range of fried chickens and alcoholic beverages so it's good place to go with your friends. I recommend the scallion topped fried chicken or pa dak. The chicken is super crunchy and succuluent, and the scallion adds a bit of freshness and flavour to the dish. Enjoy with a glass of Korean draft beer or some soju!

Gallus has the best sweet and spicy chicken and they use great quality chicken - juicy and lots of meat, cut into big chunks. They're super crispy and the flavour is on point.
This shop is small, has about 8 tables which seat about four ppl on each. The tables are actually outside undercover.. super dodge looking, reminds of eating in the streets of Thailand. We had the meal deal where u get a whole fried chicken marinated with soy and garlic plus two Korean beers. $36. Cheap. It's suppose to be a whole chicken but it didn't seem like there were any chicken thighs, because a lot of the pieces look like breast and were quite dry. The taste was there but maybe I will try ordering just the chicken wings nxt time, so it's not as dry. Also ordered the spicy seafood tofu soup $15 with rice, a definite pass.. watery and not spicy. One of the worst I've ever had... This place does not offer side dishes like most Korean restaurants.
