Vu Noodles - Charlottesville

I can't believe that I can't give this restaurant a five-star rating because it's not vegan. They do offer milk in coffee, but everything else is vegan so I think that's a bit ridiculous. I love the vu noodles and the banh mi is amazing.

This Vietnamese restaurant is extremely vegetarian and vegan-friendly! The only non-vegetarian/vegan item is optional fish sauce on a few dishes. Some of our favorites are the Bahn Mi sandwich, Crispy Rolls, Tofu Caramelized Onions, and Pho. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. While mostly for carry-out, there are a few outside tables for two. It can get busy during lunch, but that just shows how delicious their food is!

I recently tried Vu's pho in Cville and it was delicious! I really enjoyed their vegetarian pho, which is lighter than the traditional beef broth. I highly recommend it. The restaurant has a cute food truck vibe, with outdoor patio seating only. During my visit in November 2021, all bowls and utensils were disposable, so patrons must dispose of them in the trash bin after finishing their meal. The sauces were also provided in disposable packaging.

After living in Charlottesville for over 40 years, we have finally found our favorite restaurant in the area. The vegan food at this establishment is simply exquisite. Every dish is perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. The crispy rolls are unlike anything we've ever tasted before - they are truly fantastic. The noodle dishes and vegan pho are also incredibly flavorful. And don't even get us started on the vegan bahn mi sandwich - it is a must-have! The complex flavors and pure ingredients are a testament to the great chef behind these dishes. Dining at this restaurant is always so satisfying, whether we're enjoying the fun outdoor seating or opting for take-out.

All menu items at this restaurant are originally vegan, but a few items offer the option of fish sauce instead of the regular vegan sauce. We are frequent customers and have pretty much tried everything on the menu, and it's all delicious. The railway mi dish is particularly fantastic! Customers order at a window and enjoy their meals at lovely garden tables outside. The owners are very welcoming and friendly.
