We stopped by at 9:30 on a Saturday morning and ABC was already hopping. Plenty of folks getting their morning pastries and bread. So many choices and everything looked delicious. Knowing that it would likely be busy, I ordered online at about 1000 for pickup. I went at about 1010 on a Saturday morning. When I got there I still had to wait in the line even though my order was prepaid. By the time I got to the counter it was 1030. Stopped by to pick up a few treats while in town. The staff are friendly and efficient and happy to help you select what you want. We tried the lemon blueberry scone and it was moist, full of juicy blueberries, and a perfect density. The lemon wasn’t overpowering and the blueberries were ripe and tart Also picked up a key lime tart and cherry tart. Both look just as delicious. Items do sell out so go earlier if you have your eye on something. Cookies, breads, baguettes, cheesy bread, granola, macarons, macaroons (coconut), and bars are all on the menu. They have a selection of cakes available as well, including their Princess cake (also available as cupcakes).
Big selection of pastries and beautifully decorated breads and cupcakes. We tried a ham$ cheese croissant, an almond Danish pastry and a macaroon. They all were absolutely delicious.
I loooved everything I tasted from this bakery! I know people rave about their princess cake, but I will put chocolate torte on top. Also, the brownie was awesome. Now I know where to go in Charlottesville for dessert cravings.
My friend picked up the CHOCOLATE PRALINE CRUNCH CAKE and because the cake was slightly ruined by the box, they offered him two free pastries to take home (Lemon bar/tart . Great customer service The Praline crunch cake was amazing! it was one of the best cakes I've had. Will definitely go again! highly recommended.
My favorite place to buy a cake. I bought my first cake from them in 2008 for my birthday and have been coming back ever since. They even made my wedding cake. They have been consistently delicious throughout many, many years. It's clear they have a high standard of excellence that they strive to adhere to. I still haven't tried all their baked goods but I'm working on it.
