The locals were boring High opera of poor quality dominated the evening. The operation was sweet, but I felt no nervousness as we didn't speak German. And they did not speak English. The food was mediocre and had no price. We chose 4 menus with wine menu. It was absolutely nothing special. Another evening I will instead go to the local city and choose something else.

Also pos... read more We've eaten at Palio three times in the past few months. The first two times, we were absolutely thrilled with the service and the quality of the food. Also positive: the menu is significantly different from that of other Italian restaurants, and the ambiance is tastefully designed. Yesterday, however, we experienced a bitter disappointment: The appetizer (a farinata with Parma ham) was practically unseasoned; even seasoning with pepper, salt, and olive oil couldn't salvage it. Only the ham itself was tasty. Course two, fish soup and Barolo risotto with veal, gave a similar impression. Both were far too lightly seasoned; the veal was of good quality, but too raw. Opinions are divided about the quality of the Chianti Classico offered by the glass. Overall, the visit was a disappointment, even considering the prices. We doubt an Italian chef was involved here. We probably won't be visiting the restaurant again any time soon.
