the service was a little slow (possibly by kovid, so no big thing). we sat on the terrace that was very sweet. they are super dog friendly, the super! I had the sea red tuna that was incredible! my partner has the sandstein who was decent. we have the lemon butter cake to go and it wasn't very good. eating was quite decent, a little playful. What User doesn't like about Terry's Lounge:
The food is good and VERY overpriced. The hostess could not even be bothered to give me decent directions when I got lost and called. Telling you to look for the big tree does no good when it's pitch dark and you may be nowhere near the tree! In fact, she told me to turn the wrong way on 7th, even though I asked her from what corner she was giving me directions. Staff is a bit clueless in describing the food or provi... View all feedback.
Friday night with a friend here. I got the table right away. The decor is beautiful, cozy and many pets go around, really cute. The food was nice. If you want to eat bar all day, you have to ask for it, the wings were really good. Calamari needed more taste. Brussel sprouts on a stick was a bit unnecessary, but good. I love the Sakura cocktail. Overall a great place to hang with people (and pets) Would recommend to come to everyone!
I was here so often hoping for a better result and finally write a review to say: set your expectations low. If you are a dog owner, it is true that Terrys is very dog-friendly, but that can be said by 30 or 40 restaurants in Carmel. The dinner menu is overpriced. The food is average. The best is to sit on the terrace and ask for the bar menu. The bar menu offers decent pub scrub at reasonable prices. The service can range from a very attentive night to the downright difference of the next. Surprising. But it is IS Terry in Carmel, and it is WAS owned by Doris Day, and there are ARE many film posters and Hollywood memorabilies, and if it is your first time here, you can all this in and have a good time but not be surprised if your culinary experience is both expensive and lacking. And for me, the three stars, Tops.
Good place for a quiet and good brunch, especially when other places are so crowded. There is something hidden, you can enter the terrace or the hotel
I wish I could evaluate this place. We went in and waited patiently for 5 minutes, asked politely and the waiter didn't even bother to acknowledge us. In fact, he saw us several times in his eyes and said nothing like he was disturbed by our existence.
A lovely historic inn and restaurant. Excellent service. Excellent food. Everything was fresh and delicious with a nice presentation. Fun to look at all the Doris Day memorabilia. Her music also.played in the background. You could sit outside in the patio or inside. Both were nice.
