Oscar's at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando offers an exceptional breakfast experience with a buffet full of delicious options and attentive service. The personalized birthday surprise for guests adds an extra touch of joy to the dining experience. The elegant environment and great selection of food make it a worthwhile visit, even with prices on the higher end. Guests can enjoy a variety of items from the buffet, including a smoked salmon bar and crepe station, as well as dishes from the menu like avocado toast and poached eggs. The commitment to customer satisfaction shines through with the management going above and beyond to ensure a positive experience for diners. The relaxing ambiance and fantastic dishes at Oscar's make it a must-visit spot for both locals and visitors looking for a memorable dining experience in Orlando.
The hostess dropped us off immediately. The selection at breakfast is buffet or menu - we ordered from the menu. The menu has healthy choices, and I had the avocado and poached egg on toast. The main course was delivered within 20 minutes and served hot. Menu prices are the same as a Waldorf Astoria, but a bit expensive for the Orlando area.
The food at Oscar is great and we love to go to brunch and recommend it to everyone! However, please note that as a guideline, they do not accept reservations - even if you book through OpenTable! Sitting is based on the "first come, first served" principle. Note that if the seats are full, they will accept an online reservation with no intention of honoring it.
A group of us stuck in Mickey Land for a convention were looking for a Sunday brunch spot. Oskars in Waldorf sounded like what we wanted and off we went. While I'm not a fan of buffets, this one looked amazing, with more variety than usual including a smoked salmon bar, ham bar, and honey dripping from a honeycomb! There were a lot of families with kids so it was a bit noisy but that didn't really detract ... everything the group of 4 tried we loved. Only two things that were a little strange was that the cost of the buffet only included mimosas, not **** Marys and no eggs Benedict on the buffet. However, what impressed me most was the commitment to making the customer happy. When I got to the salmon bar it was empty even though two staff members I asked told me it would be replenished. When I mentioned it to our waiter he came back and said they were going out which was disappointing. The manager came over apologetically and said they even sent Hikton next door but they were out until Monday ... not what I wanted to hear. 15 minutes later the manager appeared with a plate of the best smoked salmon I've had in a long time ... THAT is service.
Came here while on vacation at South Seas with my family and all I can say is wow! We are so happy we found this gem, definitely made the last day of our trip memorable. Both the food and service were fantastic! The wedge salad was outstanding, along withthe tuna and filet. My husband had the crab cakes and lobster bisque and said both were amazing. I highly recommend to anyone, this place is worth the drive.
Very clean and upscale restaurant, very delicious and tasty meals, will definitely go there again and highly recommend this place (Old Captiva House) dishes were Blacked Snapper with alternate for coconut rice, Jumbo Prawns and Lamb.
