Came here while on vacation at South Seas with my family and all I can say is wow! We are so happy we found this gem, definitely made the last day of our trip memorable. Both the food and service were fantastic! The wedge salad was outstanding, along withthe tuna and filet. My husband had the crab cakes and lobster bisque and said both were amazing. I highly recommend to anyone, this place is worth the drive.
Very clean and upscale restaurant, very delicious and tasty meals, will definitely go there again and highly recommend this place (Old Captiva House) dishes were Blacked Snapper with alternate for coconut rice, Jumbo Prawns and Lamb.
Searching for a delicious meal while visiting Captiva? Sun Kind of Loving believes Old Captiva House is the spot. With a delicious menu full of options for everyone, it’s the perfect beachfront restaurant. The blue crab bisque is absolutelyincredible!
We had an excellent meal in this lovely historic space with a view of the water. The lobster and crab crusted scallops on coconut rice was amazing. The Branzino was cooked to perfection. We also had the special, tile fish, atop a delicious andperfect risotto. The reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 was the aloofness of our server and the pricing is a little on the highside.
Absolutely fantastic. We we’re staying at the connected Tween Waters resort so it was a no brainer to try the Old Captiva House. Food was wonderful. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. The bisque was served table side which was fun as youdon’t see that very often. The staff was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They also had a very nice wineand cocktail menu. This place does have a higher price point but the superb quality of the food definitely reflectsthat. Definitely would recommend to anyone staying at the resort or if you’re in the area.
