A true hidden gem! The restaurant offers Thai-inspired dishes with a hint of Japanese influence. The tapas plates cater to vegetarians as well. I rate the atmosphere, food, and service 10/10. Austin was fantastic! I’ll definitely return.

What Shaun Doig dislikes about Bang K:
The service was excellent! With only one other table occupied, it was quite peaceful. We tried the four-plate sharing experience, which was beautifully presented and delicious. However, the flavors all seemed quite similar, primarily tasting of lime. Additionally, there were no seafood options on the menu, which was a bit disappointing. I'm surprised to see Bang K's low average rating. I just had a wonderful date night there with my wife, and everything was delightful. The atmosphere was quiet and romantic, with candles on the tables, soft lighting, and interesting background music. Our server, Vanessa, was quick, friendly, and professional. The menu is pleasantly compact, currently offering 4 tapas for R 150, and we ended up sharing 12 plates, including 2 desserts. Every dish was delicious. Despite a few minor issues, I give them 5 stars and can't wait for my next visit. Disappointments and Recommendations: While I appreciate the intention behind having a limited beverage selection, it's crucial to ensure the items offered are actually available. My wife ordered a glass of sparkling wine but was informed it was out of stock. Additionally, some of the flavors in the dishes felt slightly repetitive (lime, chili, coconut). It would also be better to replace the low, bar-type seats with chairs that have backs for added comfort.
