Sofra Bakery Cafe - Cambridge
Sofra Bakery Cafe
Description
Sofra is an inventive Turkish bakery-café in Boston known for memorable pastries, standout simit, creative meze and efficient, friendly service. Seasonal pastries and prompt takeout earn high marks, while limited indoor seating, a tiny parking lot, and premium prices temper visits. Quality can be uneven—some savory dishes and drinks have underwhelmed or skewed too sweet—and occasional freshness issues are noted. Best for breakfast/brunch, pastry lovers and small groups who plan for street parking and possible kitchen service fees.

Fantastic spot! We spent three days in the area and enjoyed three incredible breakfasts! The food is tasty, the coffee is excellent, the service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend it!
This bakery is among the finest in the area, offering an incredible selection of breakfast and brunch items. It's highly regarded by family and friends, and the owner is known for her commitment to supporting her employees in achieving a sustainable lifestyle. While the prices are on the higher side, every item on the menu has a homemade taste that makes it worthwhile. The indoor seating is quite limited, but if the weather is nice, outdoor seating is definitely an option. It may not be a destination on its own, but if you're in the area or visiting Boston, it's certainly worth a stop!
I went here for breakfast and ordered iced coffee, a breakfast dish, and a sweet cheese blueberry Danish. The Danish was delicious and well-balanced. However, the breakfast was lacking in filling, with about half of the bites being empty. The bites that did have filling were fantastic. The coffee and Danish were reasonably priced, but considering the breakfast's lack of filling, it felt a bit overpriced. There was a line when I arrived, but the service was quick and friendly.
