The reviews for Little Monkey Restaurant in Boston are a mixed bag. Some customers were disappointed with the slow service, mediocre food quality, and high prices. Others raved about the unique dishes, excellent service, and cozy atmosphere. The standout items seem to be the passion fruit margarita, fried cauliflower, cocktails, and impossible burger. It seems like a place worth trying for those looking for a new dining experience, but maybe not for those seeking a consistently exceptional meal.

Was Andrea Reinen at Little Donkey a mag?
The food is some of the best I’ve ever had. The BLT— you wouldn’t expect that mix of flavors— is unbelievable, 100/10. The tuna tostada is so delicious that we had to order more because we couldn’t get enough. The shrimp baos are amazing, and the drinks are great. Super fun vibe! Prices are excellent. What Olivia Garza dislikes about Little Donkey:
Quality and presentation of the food were disappointing certainly relative to sister restaurants. Particularly disappointing was the wagyu beef cheek, which was dry and served on a bed of cold rice, as well as the scallops, which were overly briny and overwhelmed by what appeared to be mayonnaise. Cocktails were good, as was the salmon crudo. Generally, however, this was unfortunately disappointing— I haven’t been in... View all feedback.

Overall kind of disappointed. Everything was over salted and had the same flavor profile. We got Bangkok noodles, cauliflower, squid, and bread. Was pretty expensive for a sub par meal. Service was good. It was busy and loud but we got seated right away on a Thursday night with a reservation

Our experience was not the greatest. Despite arriving on time for our reservation, we had to wait 40 minutes before being seated. The food and service were average, nothing stood out. The lack of decorations added to the charm of the place, but also made it extremely noisy. The tables were small and too close to each other, leading to loud conversations all around. Overall, the dining experience was okay. Type of meal: Dinner Price range per person: $50–100

I really wanted to like this place, but I was a bit underwhelmed by the food. The best thing we had out of eight dishes was the fried cauliflower. We had two of each section, and nothing stuck with any of us except the cauliflower. The drinks were underwhelming as well. There is not a lot of complexity in the flavors. The space was loud and dark. Tables close together. No need to return. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

This is a great place for dining out. The food and drinks are top-notch. The service is excellent and the meal options are perfect for dinner. The average price per person is over $100. I highly recommend trying the Avocado Toast and Bangkok Street Noodles. Vegetarians may find some good options here, but it could be improved. They do offer a vegetarian menu or section.
